PROTECT ALL WASHINGTON FAMILIES
The Domestic Partnership Law allows Washington families to protect their loved ones and guarantees they will be treated fairly in times of crisis. It provides essential protections to those who would otherwise live without a safety net. More than 5,000 couples have registered as domestic partners since 2007. Some are seniors where one or both partners are over the age of 62. Often seniors, already low-income, can’t marry without sacrificing pension benefits. It also protects gay & lesbian couples, often with children, who are not allowed to get married. More than 150 congregations and organizations across Washington State support the domestic partnership law.
You can help by letting people know this law is in danger and asking them to Approve Ref. 71 to save the Domestic Partnership Law. Volunteer locally at: www.approve71vancouver.org or go to the state website at: www.approve71.org. Help us to guarantee all families are treated fairly.
