Baptism symbolizes the purification or regeneration and admission to the Christian Church. Baptisms are normally included as a part of the Sunday worship service. Private baptisms may be done with the approval of the Pastor. All baptisms are recorded in the master record book.
Most people are baptized as babies or young children. Adults who have not been baptized will be baptized before they are accepted into church membership.
Children’s baptismal certificates are given to the parents at the end of the ritual. Adult baptismal certificates are given to the adults. At the request of the Pastor or the Worship Ministry, a small gift may also be given.
Parents are urged to include family members in the baptism ceremony. Close friends who may serve as “godparents” to the child are also included in the ceremony.
