The Mission and Outreach ministry at First Congregational UCC is co-sponsoring a local gathering as part of an international day of action on June 26th. Throughout the world, people will be gathering on that day at beaches and other public spaces to join hands as a symbolic demonstration of their desire to end offshore oil drilling and champion clean energy. In Vancouver, we will hold hands along the Columbia River walkway near the I-5 bridge.
People will begin to gather at 11 am near the public parking lot area to the east of Who Song and Larry’s Restaurant located at 111 SE Columbia Way. We will then hold hands for 15 minutes beginning at noon. Contact Pastor Brooks if you have any questions.
