Join us on the road to Olympia on Thursday, March 12th for Equality Rally Day 2009! Meet us at the church at 8:00am to carpool.
Equality Day 2009: On the Road to Equality will be an opportunity for Washingtonians – gay and straight — to gather together in Olympia and lobby our legislators in support of full marriage equality, expanded rights for registered domestic partners, safer schools, preserving HIV/AIDS services and prevention funding, and other issues of import to the LGBT and allied community. As in years past we’ll have a noontime rally!
Equality Day is organized by Equal Rights Washington (ERW) and its faith based initiative, the Religious Coalition for Equality (RCE). Equality Day is co-sponsored by dozens of organizations and houses of worship. The theme of this year’s Equality Day is “On the Road to Equality.” New for 2009 will be online grassroots lobby trainings using streaming video and conference call technology.
