The Final Push for Marriage Equality

In February, our church helped lead a 116-mile march to Olympia in support of marriage equality. Our members are now involved in the final push to ensure that marriage equality is affirmed at the ballot box. Here is a listing of marriage equality events:


Phone Banking in Vancouver!
Every phone bank session starts with training and includes food and fun. If you have available, bring a laptop and a cell phone to Vancouver locations.

Ring a Doorbell for Marriage Equality!
Come out on a Saturday to talk with people door-to-door about why marriage matters to you.  We will be targeting houses where we think a conversation will persuade them to vote for the freedom to marry. Mayor Tim Levitt is going to join us!

When: Saturday, October 27, 10 am – 2 pm
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church at 4505 East 18th Street

I Do For Us Too!
There is going to be a Wedding Expo for the LGBT Community. Join us!

When: Sunday, November 4
Time: 12:00 – 5:00 pm
Where:  Vancouver Hilton & Convention Center

Post Election Celebration with Portland Gay Men’s Choir
Save the date.  The community will gather to celebrate an amazing year and a momentous election.  Location to be announced – we’ve got to find a location big enough to handle the crowd!
