In 2010-11, our church developed an effective program for unifying and inspiring our entire congregation in a yearlong social action project. Historically, social action in our church involved the participation of a small group of members. In order to make social action part of the culture and theology of our church as a whole, we undertook an endeavor called “The Moses Project: A Year of Reflection, Action, and Celebration.” To assist other churches who might want to conduct their own Moses Project, we are providing a list of the key elements involved in our Moses Project and a timeline of events with links to sample documents.
